In March and April 2022, I organized a series of culinary events (making Chinese dumplings 餃子) for a group of Chinese learners.
Past activity: kids' summer school (Brno + Prague, 8.2018)
In 8.2018, I helped a Chinese studyabroad agency organize a two-week summer school in Brno and Prague. Thirteen (13) kids aging 6-14 came to Czechia to study English and to taste the local culture.
Past activity: summer schools in Taipei (7.2017, 7.2018)
In 7.2017 and 7.2018, I helped the Department of Chinese Studies of Masaryk University organize four-week summer schools of intercultural communication and Chinese learning in Taipei, with Soochow University as the local partner.
Past activity: winter school in Brno + Telč (1.2019)
Between 19-24.1.2019, I helped the Language Center of Masaryk University organize a winter school entitled "Language and Culture in Action: A Central European Point of View", which hosted 57 students from Soochow University in Taiwan and from East China University of Political Science and Law in China. The students attended lectures on Central European culture and history, had lessons of basic Czech, and participated in cultural events such as wine tasting, ballet performance, and visited historical sites including Villa Tugendhat and the MUNI campus of Telč.
About me
I am a consultant of (intercultural) communication based in Brno, Czechia, who aims to bring innovation to the field. I do this for fun outside of my daytime job at the university (where I do scientific research and teach theories about communication).
In the past, I organized intercultural activities for groups coming to and from Czechia. I have various partners at different levels in Czechia, Slovakia, Taiwan and China, ranging from universities, high/middle schools, and studyabroad agencies.
Through the Trade License, I provide translation service and consultations regarding intercultural communication in the business and education sectors. I run language courses for strategic partners that have a vision and potential.
